No. The identity verification fee is a one-time payment. There are no recurring charges, no auto-renewals, and no hidden fees. Once you're verified, you have full access to the platform for as long as DoctorDoctor exists.
You'll need a government-issued photo ID (driver's licence, passport, or national ID card) and a device with a camera for a selfie. Stripe securely compares your photo to your ID to confirm your identity. The process takes just a few minutes.
DoctorDoctor is not a medical service and is not covered by OHIP or any provincial health insurance plan. It is a directory service that helps you find doctors who are accepting new patients in your area. The verification fee covers the cost of maintaining the platform and confirming user identities.
Yes. Identity verification is handled entirely by Stripe, a global leader in secure payments. DoctorDoctor never sees or stores your ID photos or selfie. Stripe processes the verification and only tells us whether you passed or not. Your payment information is also handled securely by Stripe.
